Essence Healthcare Academy is a pioneering private institution of higher education, owned and operated by two dedicated Namibian Registered Nurse/Midwives. Our mission is to uplift Namibian youth by providing affordable, high-quality education that enables them to advance in any field they choose. We aim to bridge the gap between secondary and tertiary education, offering hope to those who did not complete grades 9/10 or 11/12 by providing pathways to accredited qualifications and career opportunities.
We follow the National Policy on Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to address the diverse training needs of our students. Our academy boasts two branches, located in Ondangwa and Windhoek. In Ondangwa, find us at ERF 2526 – 2528 Ondangwa – Oshakati Main Road, and in Windhoek, we are situated in Windhoek North. Our main branch postal address is P.O. Box 4270, Windhoek, Namibia, 9000. We proudly opened our Ondangwa doors on January 20, 2020.
Consequently, when we started training Health Care Assistants we realized the need to also introduce nursing education/training for Enrolled Nurses and Midwives/accoucheurs as we have received a lot of requests from the community members both in Ondangwa and other faraway towns such as Eenhana, Engela, Oshikango, Omuthiya and Oshakati. Our curriculum for the Certificate in Enrolled Nursing and Midwifery Science is approved by HPCNA.
